Alice Westcott is sent to a state facility to evaluate her mental health after the sudden death of her children.  She sees her children in her dreams and reality, and can no longer differentiate between the two.

 

The staff learns that she's been concealing her five month pregnancy. When they threaten to take the baby away Alice vows to protect her unborn from those who wish to bring her baby harm.
